Let Your Kid Experience the Joy of Electric Jeep Ride-On Cars

There are many car manufacturers that didn’t start out as car manufacturers at all like BMW, Porsche and even Jeep. Jeep was only making vehicles for the American Army. These vehicles could cover any ground with ease and they were only made to do that. One thing that Jeep has kept true to all these years is its heritage, which is making all-terrain vehicles.

Although Jeep’s have become fancier than ever, the synonymous grille design, alongside the high ground clearance and a powerful engine are still part of the recipe. Even as an electric ride-on car, Jeeps are quite popular.

Speed

One of the deciding factors on which electric ride-on car you should get for your kid is going to be the top speed of the car. Being electric, the pickup might be jerky which is something you should avoid. A safe Jeep electric ride on car is going to be quick and smooth at the same time, but not too powerful either.

Age/ Weight Limit

To ensure a safe and adequate toy car you should check the age/ weight limit of the car. A ride on Jeep car should have a specified age limit or range on it be it in the form of a sticker or indented in the plastic. The weight limit usually goes with the power of the battery as usually higher-rated batteries are able to support more weight and this can range anywhere from 44 lbs to 77 lbs.

Batteries

Talking about batteries, you can choose from three different options and those are 6V, 12V and 24V. Each one doubles up its voltage rating from the former which is what makes it more capable.

For instance, a Jeep ride on car with a 6V battery is made for young children as it offers speeds between 2 mph and 3 mph. If your kid is mainly going to drive their Jeep electric ride on car on smooth surfaces such as tarmac or a hardwood floor then a car with a 6V battery is sufficient enough.

12V batteries make for quicker rides on cars as they can have a top speed between 4 mph and 5 mph. You can also have them go on different surfaces not just smooth ones and those include, gravel and even dirt tracks. Essentially anything uneven.

With a 24V battery in a ride on Jeep car, you can expect the toy to travel at a maximum speed of 7 mph even on an incline. Older children love them as the acceleration is much quicker than that of 12V and especially 6V ride-on cars. Plus 24V batteries are proven to be more efficient than both 12V batteries as the former are essentially two low-powered 12V batteries that are connected together in a series.

Power

Although a higher-rated battery means more power, how this power is delivered is crucial as it determines runtime. A more streamlined power distribution between both pairs of wheels will see your ride-on electric car run for much longer before it needs to be charged. Also, the more efficient the battery, the more juice you can squeeze out from it.

Added Features

There are certain features that you can have on an electric ride-on car to make your child have a similar experience to that of a real car. You can have a Jeep ride on car with working doors and seat belts, as well as a horn and USB, Bluetooth or AUX connectivity. But you can also have some safety features in the form of parental control of the car’s top speed and a remote control to prevent your kid from crashing or from going where they shouldn’t.

Stickers

You can also customise your Jeep ride on car with different types of stickers and decals. Anything from adding gauges on the dash and personalised number plates to taxi signs and police badges can be placed on the car. This way you can truly make for a custom look and a unique one too.

Handle

Electric ride-on cars are not always going to be ridden from and to a destination. This is why you should get a carrying handle as you can have the car with no power in it left and the only way you can move it in that case is to carry it. The handle is able to offer the necessary level of grip for you to safely and easily grab and carry them around. This handle is also useful when you want to stop your child but don’t have the remote in hand.

Cones & Lights

To make your kid feel more in control of a Jeep electric ride-on car, you can get some training cones and lights to help them learn how to maneuver the car better.

Cover

Finally, once your kid is tired enough from the ride-on car, you should have a cover for it so that the elements or bird droppings get to it, unless you’re going to store it in the garage.
